Hi,

I have problem with rss feed is not validate. It give following error (mozilla)

This feed does not validate.

  • line 1, column 61: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:61: syntax error [help]

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">                                                              ^

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation.

  • Feeds should not be served with the "text/html" media type [help]

Anil,

Not sure what you are referencing.  The DNN News Feeds (RSS) module doesn't create the rss feed, it fetches and translates it using an xsl file.  So, if you are talking about the internal feed generated, then you should indicate what DNN module you are talking about, as some modules use their own rss news generator.

If it's a feed you are using with the DNN News Feeds (RSS) module, indicate the URL, but it really wouldn't be something that the module actually does, but maybe the xsl.  I know from experience that not all news feed sources will validate, as they don't always conform or worry about being used by 'all' news readers, but just the most popular browsers.  Not exactly right logic, but that's what I've seen.

I use "DNN Bolg Module"( version 03.02.00). In this module RSS Feed (click on XML button)  which is create xml text is not not validate.

Please reply to me as early as possible.

Ok, well, then your really need to ask that question in the DNN Project Blog forum.  The Newsfeeds (RSS) module doesn't create any newsfeed, it merely fetches and uses a default xsl to transform it for display.

I'm sure Antonio would be able to help you.

I'll move this to the blog forum. He originally posted this in the Authentication forum and I made an assumption (yeah I know all about assuming ) that this would be the better place for the post.
