Hey all!

I am member of a fairly large forum community (500 active accounts + 105k posts) that is looking to update their forum software.  We're currently on IPB 1.3 (yes, painfully old), and it just now hit me that DNN might be an option (not sure why it took so long, I think I've had various installs of it since v3.6 or thereabouts).

Does anyone know if there is possibly a converter so that we could save our threads and other info (it's a roleplay forum, so saving threads & character data is kind of important) and convert it so it'd mesh with the DNN database, or am I hoping for too much?

If there isn't, it sort of sounds like we might just put the IPB up as an archive, but I think everyone who's posted would love it if it turns out there's a converter/migration tool.

Thanks for any help.

If there isn't, it can be scripted pretty easily.  Hell, I'll do it just for the experience.  What database structurre does IPB run on, MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle?  If it's MSSql, send me a small subset of your forum data, and I could put ont together for you.  But then if there's already a solution in place, it might be better to go that route.  Let me know what you think.
