Hello,

I need help knowing what to check that may be causing trouble with our website. I get the "This site is currently unavailable" page only on the initial page load and when I try to restart the application. For example, if I navigate to the site I get the "This site is currently unavailable at this url http://www.possibilitiesne.com/Install/UnderConstruction.htm. If I remove the text after the domain name and hit enter the page will load fine. If I go to host settings and click "restart application" I get the same page. This happens for both the default installation and the portal (koipt.com). Every other page works fine. I have checked permissions, restarted the app domain, and restarted the website(IIS). I don't run any compression or cache settings in the host settings.

I can't think of anything else that might cause this problem. Can someone give me some things to check that might cause this problem?

Thank you.

Ben

Update: The default application hasn't been acting up the last few days and I haven't changed anything, but the portal still does it all the time.

I will look through to compare the two, but if anyone could give me some suggestions I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

Ben

I did some more research and I read that there could be an issue with the active directory authentication method. I don't use that, but it was installed. I removed all the authentication methods, except for the default because I use that method. After each uninstall, when I clicked return, I would get taken to the site not available page. I went to the event log and found these.

It makes sense that the application would end/restart after each uninstall, but why would I get redirected to the site not available page? Shouldn't the application just reload and take me to the page the return link is set to? What can I look at to correct this issue?

Thank you for your help.

Ben
