Is there a social networking DNN module or group of modules that would truly scale and be managable for high hundreds of thousands of users or over a million users?  Something that is already used/proven and publically facing now that can be shown to my client?  Looking to put together a b2b oriented site for a client that supports extended profiles, groups, networking, job postings, etc., for communities ranging from hundreds of thounsands to the millions of people and professionals.

Failing this, any recommendations for a white-label .Net solution that could be integrated with a DNN based main website?  I would prefer to look at a non-hosted solution -- ie: that I would install on my customer's server(s).

Whilst I have not hit this figure, I can vouch for my own modules technically - the Smart-Thinker Social-Networking Product Suite has been built from the ground up to be scaleable and was tested with 50k+ of users (I don't know which is the the biggest site using the modules). PokerDIY (social network for poker players) only has 10k of users but I believe it will scale easily as it grows (from a techincal POV). I am not aware of any bigger social network.

 

When you start looking at 1 mill+ it's a different ballgame of course and I'd be really keen to see a social network of this scale built on our great DotNetNuke technology for proof of concept.
