Setting any of the Moderator or approval properties deletes the module from the page.

We have tried to set up an events module where registered users who have been assigned edit rights to the page can add events.

They never receive the AddEvents link at the bottom, and if you try to set up a Moderator group, and check the Moderate check box, the module gets deleted from the page, and all of your current events on the calendar are no longer available or accessible, even if you add back the modeule.

Appears that this module was very well tested!

Please provide some background info: which version of DNN? Which version of the Events module?

David,

Which version of the module are you using 3.3.8 or 4.0.1? This type of problem is a known issue in 3.3.8, but should not occur in 4.0.1. Generally it isn't a case of the module being deleted, but only being visible to the Host user. If you log on as Host, you should see the module, and be able to set the permissions. There is no code within the module that would make it delete itself.

I don't believe making someone a Page Editor will make them a Module Editor. Within the Events module, a user must have Module Edit permissions in order to be able to Add Events.

Cheers
Roger
