I have a couple modules that use partial rendering and intercomunicate to each other with IMC, the problem is that altought the event gets passed the receiver module doesn't displays the changes.

Any help would be appreciated.

SEE FOLLOWING POST UNDERNEATH.

I get the same issue with DNN 4.8.4 and thereafter. It all works under 4.5.0 perfectly but something has changed since then internally. The IListener service works correctly but it fails to render the new data.

Perhaps the Core Team could confirm whether the fault which Charles Nurse has located in IMC in DNN 5.0.0 was present even back in 4.8.4 ? It seems strange that exactly the same IMC program functions correctly in 4.5.0 but in 4.8.4 the IListener module fails to render.

OK - I've finally sorted this out - thanks to Onishiro's post that put me on the track.

The fault of no rendering in the IListener module, even though the IMC Event is actioned,  stems from the fact that the ICommunicator module invoking the Event has Partial Rendering ON, thereby precluding any rendering on the IListener page. Unticking the IModuleCommunicator Module's Partial Rendering option box allows the IModuleListener page to render normally.

The IModuleListener module can, of course, have Partial Rendering on or not as you wish.
