After more frustration, I had decided not to mess with it, but just discovered that newsletters don't properly display images because of my subdirectory redirect trickery, so I'm back to trying to get this to work.

My IIS settings are below. I've tweaked them a little bit from what is displayed but the displayed settings don't work either. Note that the "pin" virtual directory in the IIS sites menu to the left has the same settings as nearly as I can tell, and it works fine to load the DNN application. My uneducated guess is that this has something to do with dnn needing to run as either an application (which isn't available in this version of IIS), or a virtual directory.
