hi!

im currently trying to publish the Web Site to the production server
with this 2 option checked at the VS2005
- Allow this precompiled site to be updatable
- Use fixed naming and single page assemblies

but after publishing the site i created the database and configured the IIS virtual directory settings
and began to use the DNN wizard to create the portal. Upon reaching the Authentication required for the portal
i received this error message "The directory /DotNetNuke2000Dev/App_Code/HTML/ is not allowed because the application is precompiled"


Below are the Development environment settings

- VS2005 Professional (only C# installed)
- SQL2000 MSDE
- Windows XP with SP2
- IIS 5.1
- IE7
- The source of the DNN was downloaded from DNNSite [DotNetNuke_04.08.04_Install.zip]
- DNN version 4.8.4

Actually i have tried to move the code manually to the Development server manually by copying the code.
But for the production i donot want to deploy the source code files(vb) of the DNN due to the security issues

please let me know how i can solve this matter

I have the same problem just after clicking "Next" on the Authentication Services page.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: The directory '/dnn/App_Code/HTML/' is not allowed because the application is precompiled.

I'm using the Install package with VS2008 and IIS 7. This also occurred using the Source package.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
