DNN Version: 04.08.02

Evening everyone - I have a new site that I'm setting up and I've noticed that several links in the site just don't function at all. Most notably, it appears that links and buttons that perform a submit function via a javascript postback, are the culprits. Examples include updating passwords, posting new forum entries, replying to forum entries, submitting article reviews and so on.

At first I thought it might be related to a specific module app, such as Active Forums (v. 3.7), but then I started noticing it in portions of the DNN Core too.

You can see my site at: http://209.62.126.243/. If you register and then try and update your password, when you try and click on the "Change Password" link, absolutely nothing happens. Same holds true for the forums, and for any article rating module that is at the bottom of nearly every "article" page in the site (e.g. http://209.62.126.243/Default.aspx?tabid=416).

I've been searching the 'net and these forums, but I've not seen any postings like this. Can someone help please?

thanks in advance,
Rick

such an issue can be caused, if the javascript event handler got overwritten by a module script or sth. like this. check out the javascript contained in the 3rd party modules you installed.

Do you recommend that I uninstall modules, or is there an easier / better way to deal with this?

Thanks Sebastian - you're always a HUGE help!

Sebastian - as usual, you were spot on!

The problem resided with the most recent version of iWebs TellMyFriend module (a really great module by all other measure). As soon as I uninstalled it, everything started working perfectly.

Thanks you very much, again!

Rick
