I'm not sure what I've done to mess up my site.  I found out today that I cannot register new users for some reason.

Whenever you click the Register link on any page, it redirects to login, the user never gets to register.

Now, if I replace the &ctl=Login with &ctl=Register, in the URL, I get the register page...

I upgraded to 4.8.4 today to see if this would fix the problem.  no luck.

What could I have done to screw this up?  I'm completely baffled...

sorry I didnt reply sooner but I didnt see an email notification...

Under Admin > Site Settings > Advanced Settings my setup looks like this:

user registration = verified

Splash page = none

Home page = HOME

Login page = REGISTER <- this is a page I created with just an Account Login control... not included in the site menu... when set to none or any other page is uses the different page but still works the same way (only a login form, no registration form)

User page = none <- I'm not sure exactly what this is?  is this the "registration" page setting, User page as in NEW User page?  nope... tried setting it to my REGISTER PAGE and it still does the same thing...

I don't see a "registration page" setting here... am I in the right place?

Hi,

i've a similar problem on DNN 4.8.4:

Under Admin > Site Settings > Advanced Settings my setup looks like this:

user registration = public

Splash page = none

Home page = HOME-IT

Login page = LOGIN (1 module: account login)

User page = PROFILO UTENTE ( in this page visible to all there are 2 modules: user account and CAT_Customeraccount of catalook)

If i set user page to none i can see register page, but if i set user page to PROFILO UTENTE the register page is not visible and show the login page.

Where is the error?

Solved.

The second module in the user page (CAT_Customeraccount of catalook) must have set the permission only for register user.
