Hie everyone

I have been developing modules in vb.net targetting the latest version of DNN. All seems well. I decided to give a try at C# with my current module. Among other things the module allows a user to enter search text into a textbox then click the search button( a command button).    Amazingly the Click event for the button is not fired when a user is not logged in, but seems to work when a user is logged in!! In addition this behavior occurs for IE7 and Opera, but it works in Firefox without requiring a user to be logged in.

Am I missing some C# code. Help before I revert back to vb!

Thx

I'm not sure why it is working in FireFox, but the most common cause of button clicks and other events not firing is that the modules Cache Duration is set to a non-zero value. In the module's settings, make sure that the Cache Duration is set to 0. You can also set the Cache Duration to -1 in the module control's definition in Host-->Module Definitions. This will prevent the Cache Duration field from being visible in the module settings, thus preventing it from being set to a non-zero value.
