Hi,

I am considering purchasing Onyaktech or Datasprings modules. I need to have more than one custom registration page and also want contact forms etc. I need a gallery too. I was looking at the Onyaktech module package for $99 it seems excellent value for what you get.
I have heard the Dataspring modules mentioned around the forums and they do Dynamic forms and Dynamic Registation for what I am looking for. The full catalog is pricy at $349
Any reviews I have read on other sites namely Snowcovered are not great for Onyaktech but are excellent for Datasprings. Can anyone advise?

No doubt Datasprings. Support is excellent from Chad and after all, that is really what your paying for.

You can look at it this way, you get what you paid for.

I've purchased the OnyaTech package. The modules work fine for me. I've had excellent response time and responses with the questions I have.

I don't have the Dataspring, so I can't compare the two from experience.

Part of it is - You get what you pay for; But then again - How much did we pay for DNN? :-P

Look over the modules, use demo's where you can, and see what ones you think will best suit your needs and go with that.

I'm very happy with the Onyaktech modules I have and the support I've needed.

Choosing between those two would be easy - Datasprings.  The support from Chad is very good.

However, if you are somewhat new to DNN, based on what you said you need, I would take a strong look at Xmod.  It can do the contract forms or any other type of form plus it has pre-built templates that do quite a few things. Such as the pre-built 3d carousel  photo gallery or the Lightbox photo gallery (which is really the Thickbox jquery lightbox gallery - Xmod 5 automatically installs the main jquery system as part of the package).  It also has quite a few add-ons available for it like Fatgeorge's upload system(control) that does so many things (watermarks, auto thumbnail generation, resizing, etc.).  Then there is the template exchange area that has 6 pages of things other users have built and shared such as an auto geocoder and Google maps system, mash-ups, more photo galleries, YouTube Video's, etc. etc.

I think it all comes down to what you're trying to do and what you already have in your DNN toolbox.  Xmod is like the adjustable wrench of DNN.
