Hi,

Having played around with the DotNetNuke software and become a little addicted, www.mawhitfield.net, I may well be asked to redesign the company website to bring it right into the third millenium.

I was wondering whether anybody could recommend a good, functional company skin (out of the box). I like the font and width changers at the top of this site and I think they are very useful for those who struggle to read small fonts etc. I appreciate that some of this can be developed etc. but I am more interested in out of the box skin offerings so I can focus more on content rather than adding functionality. Can anybody point at a functional company skin which offers these features (price is not an issue). Thanks in advance for anybodies input here.

MARK.

I guess you're looking for a commercial skin that has the style sheet selector. Can't think of any on top of my head, but you can do a quick search for commercial skins on DNN marketplace or snowcovered.

However, if you want to implement this yourself, my colleague, Brian Dukes, wrote a simple skin object for it that you can download for free here and use it.

Hi Mark,

As I recall, some of the features you describe (text size selector, icons) on the DNN site are based off of another skin.  This skin used to be freely available, so you might be able to use it as a starting point in your overhaul.

I can't for the life of me remember what that skin was called, or where it was located!  Someone help me out here :)

i believe the skin you're referring to is skinergy (http://skinergy.speerio.net/default.aspx) , which appears to be down at the moment - i'll let Nik (the site owner know).

In 5.0 this functionality is exposed as part of the new client-side widget support, and appears in at least one of the new skins AFAIR.
