Hi

Just wondering if someone could help me.

I've set up a dotnetnuke website on my Vista machine, and would like to access it through another port other than port80.

The reason Is I have a single IP address (static) but would like to host several sites on this machine.

I added the port alias to include xx.xx.xx.xx:81

I've changed the bindings in IIS7

I've check thro' SQL express to see it the new portal alias has been added and its ok.

When I then browse the site xx.xx.xx.xx:81 the home page loads, but when I click to login the page cannot be displayed and the address goes to back to xx.xx.xx.xx / default.aspx

I've tried to change the first address in SQL studio under portal alias but it will not let me save it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Barry

In the web.config there is an option "UsePortNumber" that must be set to true.

I'm new to dotnetnuke.

I have the website set up on port 13081.

i'm using ISA server to re-proxy requests from outside using a public domain name (www.domain.com)

To get that to work i figured out you had to set  <add key="UsePortNumber" value="false" />

(not true), otherwise it keeps adding the 13081 after the domain name and failing from the outside (isa receives on port 80 and send to internal port and then returns to port 80 on the outside)

This works great so far, except when a user registers and hits submit it is adding the port number...

Any ideas?
