I like to use Feedburner for the statistics I get in regards to who my blog readers are.  I'm wondering if it would be possible to supply a custom feed for a given blog, and that feed be what is used for the RSS link that is shown in the blog module.  I would still want the regular feed location to work, as I have to point FeedBurner at the "real" RSS feed.

Let me know if what I'm asking for doesn't make sense, and I'll try to clarify it further.

Thanks,

Brian Swanson

This is a great idea, Brian.  I thought it was already in Gemini, but when I did a search for it, I couldn't find anything. I went ahead and added an entry in Gemini to cover this feature request.

Thanks,

Don

Thanks, I created a login for Gemini, but am obviously missing something, because I couldn't figure out how to add an entries.  That's why I went ahead and posted it here.

If at any point the Blog team needs any help with testing or development efforts, please shoot me an email, I'd love to help out.

Hi Brian,

I had the same problem when I tried to post to Gemini for the first time.  You can't post to the specific sections in Gemini.  You have to post to the section labeled DNN Core Framework and Modules.  There's a dropdown available when you create a new issue that allows you to specify with which project you'd like to associate your new issue.

And thanks for your offer to help out with the project!  You can reach me at don at itcrossing dot com.  If you send me an email, I can chat w/ you about what involvement on the team is like and who to contact.

Thanks!

Don

This would be great.  I could always set the RSS links to display: none in CSS and then create my own RSS link, but it would be nice to be abe to choose an alternative RSS URL (like feedburner) for your RSS.

Also i have noticed that even with the new blog module, the images are still not showing up in Feedburner.  I was told that this was something that was going to be fixed soon.  Is that still the case?

I like the blog module and even convinced my newest customer to use it.  I hope those two things are fixed thought.  It would make the entire blog pretty darned perfect.

Thanks for your time,

MikePixel
