In a reports module, I have set up for output under control of an HTML template. Since I don't see any editing facilities within DNN for these template files, I am just doing edits externally in Notepad, then FTPing each new verson of my template to replace the old one. My problem is that after I have gone through this cycle for the first tijme, I can't delete, rename or replace the old template! I get an Error 550 Cannot...(replace, rename, etc.). Something in the DNN environmet seems to be holding my template busy. This behavior perists even of I quit the browser (in which I'm lookibg at the page the template produces), quit and re-enter FTP, or even reboot Windows entirely. What causes Template files to be busied out in this manner? How can I set up a template edit cycle that does not require I log off, have dinner,a nd wait serval hours between each tiny changeto my template? Is there a template editor within DNN that I should be using?
