Hi:

I thought that there was a way to create a custom new registration page in DNN. However, when I click on the drop down list of modules, I don't see a "registration" module or anything remotely named that.  I see login and profile modules but no registration module.  I checked the list of modules installed in the host and there's not one there either.  Can someone please help me by telling me what I'm missing.  I have a feeling it's something really really simple.

Thanks.

Bump.

I'm still struggling to figure out how to do this.  I know it's got to be something simple but for the life of me I can't find that registration module to put on the page.  I don't even see the registration module as an option in the host menu module area.

Thanks in advance for any help or direction.

Hi:

This thread that I started said that it had two replies but I only see one.  (well, now there should be three replies with this message but I only see two.)  I'm hoping the missing reply is the answer to my question.

Thanks very much.

I had the same problem. Check out the module named "User Account". The behavior of this module will present the registration form when the user is not logged in. I actually created a new page and inserted the "User Account" module and it worked OK... but the layout was terrible and I am still trying to figure out how to make it look acceptable since I wish to also have on the same page another module for a FAQ. But it really look bad since the "User Account" module takes about 80% of the width available.

Another thing; it is yet impossible for me to have the "Register" link to be pointing to the newly created page (just like the login page you can assign thru the "Site Settings > Advanced Settings > Page Management". If you have any suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated.

You say you want a custom registration page and I assume that means you want to collect custom information from your users.  You can set this up through the user accounts section under Admin.  Once on the page go to the module settings menu for User Accounts.  You can then use the "Manage Profile Properties", to specify whcih fields are required, visible, etc.

If a field is required then the new user, or a current user will be forced to fill it out.

I hope that helps,

Stuart
