I developed my DNN site using an IP address and a virtual directory, I now need to move it to a domain and delete the reference to the IP/Virtual Directory.  What do I need to do... Both of the Domain and IP address are on the same server.

Thank You

Visit Host > Portals menu with Host account and add domain as alias for your current portal. Then implement database and file system to server.

After testing, you can remove old alias (ipaddress\virtualdirectory)

However you may see some links and imagepaths are broken, either correct them manually or use some tool to make replacements.

a) Engage F3 module

b) SQL Queries

I tried to add the alias, but it still comes up with the IP/Virtual directory link instead of the domain.  I am using the domain name and virtual directory name in the alias.  The virtual directory is under the "Default Web SIte", which is before my Domain I wish to use in the alias. Do I need to go into IIS and change the properties of the Default Web Site to include the New Domain. I must be missing a step  when I use the URL Domain/Virtual Directory it finds the DNN site but the displayed URL is the IP/VIrtural Directory.  My client is expecting the site to be in production this weekend.

I got the website to come up initially with the new alias,  but when I click on a tab it goes to the old IP/Virtual Directory URL. Do I need to change the site map URL?
