Hi - I've recently set up a website using the DNN Store module and have it running pretty smoothly.

I want my poducts to appear on the Google Shopping directory, which I understand means I need to create a feed for Google Base.

Is there any way this can be done within DNN?  Or has anyone found another way of doing this?

thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

I am trying to do the same thing and was wondering if you found a solution. Can you let me know if you have?

Many thanks,

Simon

No I ended up with a custom built module - did you find another solution in the end?

It's a shame this can't be built in to the store module

Hi Matt,

I do not understand what is the problem!? If you need an rss feed from your products you just have to enable the syndication in the module settings of the Store Catalog module. This is not related to the Store module, it's a build-in feature of dnn. When a module implement ISeachable (the standard interface to enable search inside dnn), you can then produce an rrs feed from the module. Because Store implement ISearchable, you can produce your feed. Go to module settings in the Store Catalog module, expand Page Settings, then check Allow Syndicate and Update. Now the standard rss button appear at the bottom of the Store Catalog module, click on it to obtains your rss feed. That's all!

Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Thanks Gilles - I am no longer using the Store module so can not test this with Google base but if anyone else is, and wants to post the information straight to Google Base, I'm hope they will find your comments useful.
