Hi All,

How to write a rule in Request Filter to redirect a request http://mywebsite.com/default.aspx?TabId=123 to http://mywebsite.com/Help.aspx

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mahesh

What version of DNN are you using?  Starting in 4.7 human friendly url rewriting was introduced, so you don't need to write a request filter.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your replay.

I am using Dotnetnuke 04.08.04 the latest version.

I want to retain the friendly name of the page though postbacks. It means the URL will always show the friendly name instead of tradition DNN URL with TabID. I have already added a friendly url rewriting rule for the page. The problem is when the page postbacks the URL changes to the traditional DNN URL with tabid.

Ex:
I request a page with it's friedly name as http://www.MyWebsite.com/Help.aspx. When any server event fires on the page and it's postbacks and URL changes to that of traditional DNN URL with tabid as http://www.MyWebsite.com/default.aspx?TabId=123.

To resolve this proble I want to create a Request Filter rule which redirect every request made to http://www.MyWebsite.com/default.aspx?TabId=123 to http://www.MyWebsite.com/Help.aspx

Is it possible to do using Request Filter? Is there any other way to achive the functionality?

Thanks,
Mahesh
