I have created a new list (under Host > Lists).   I want to reference this list in the user profile editing area.   However, when I go to create a new Profile Property, I do not see my list showing up under Data Type?

How do I get this list to become a data type?

Anyone???

I see I probably should have created it as a child under DataType but it asks the Parent Type and I have no idea what one I should pick.

Wow, has nobody customized their portal profile screen with customized drop down lists before?  I would have thought I would have gotten at least one response -- even from the development team.

Okay, I figured out how to do it using the built in lists feature.  That doesn't allow you to pull from an existing database list you might have but oh well, it works for the short term.

So how did you end up making this happen?  I'm having the same problem.
