I'm wondering if I'm just missing something...

In the events module, we're able to see a list of names of people who have registered. I assume that this is a combination of first and last names in the system. The problem comes when the user only has a first name listed. We need to send them an email in Outlook and there is no way of knowing who these people are. Is there a way to list their email addresses along with their names? Or, alternatively, is there a way to see the user name of the person who enrolled? We have someone named "Susan" enrolled but there are 4 people in the system with just a first name of "Susan."

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Hi Josh,

The module currently uses teh displayname from a users profile on DNN. So you could look up which user it is by looking up via their displayname in Admin/Users. Not very friendly I'm afraid for now.

We do plan to improve this area of the module in the next release (see - EVT-7227), but I can't tell you when this may be released. We are just going through the process for releasing 4.0.2, and would expect the capabilities you are looking for to be in 4.1.0. See the roadmap here - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project/RoadMap.aspx?PROJID=11.

Cheers
Roger

Thanks for the reply.

I don't see a way to look up the displayname. I see username, first name, middle name, and last name. There isn't a way to see the username? That would be helpful because it's unique. Is there any way to modify it to show the username that was used to enroll? I would think that is recorded somewhere.

If you are familiar with stored procedures in SQL you could update procedure EventsSignupsGetEvent to return something other than displayname. This would require no compiled code change, and I believe should work.

Cheers
Roger
