I've used plenty of Joomla CMS before but never DNN. I have it all installed and I'm logged in as the host.  I am astounded and the wealth of good stuff available for DNN and would just like a few pointers to get me headed in the right direction.

I have two things I want to achieve:

1. Configure DNN to act as a membership application, so that different clients can login and only see items according to their category and be able to download and perhaps even upload material. Will DNN do this by itself or do I need to get a module from somewhere (if so, where?).

2. Install a nice skin with a medical theme - there seems to be a lot of stuff on offer..where do i start? Who are the best, most reliable providers?

 

Any advice would be gratefully received.

1.  DNN does this as part of its normal functions.  Up/Download might require a module, see www.snowcovered.com or the Marketplace on this site.
