Hi there,

I will explain my problem and will tell you all the things that i done.

Firstly i have 40 domain registered with Godaddy and have Delux windows hosting and on one domain which not the primary domain i have DNN 4.8.4 installed that too not in the root dorectory but in seperate diretory. So now that Domain website is now live. What i want to do is have all the those 40 domain hosted from this DNN with nothing in common meaning the skins or the content or pages.

So i will just tell you what all things i did so please correct me if i am wrong anywhere. Firstly i made a portal of only one page through the host account of the DNN. Then i went to godaddy hosting connection in that domain management and directed the path of the domain to the directory where DNN is installed. then i typed that in the browser hoping to see the new website but the old website opened. So then what i did was when to the iis settings in godaddy and made a virtual directory for the domain2 which i have made in dnn. then again i typed the domain namein the browser and still no luck.

Can any one tell me what am i doing wrong here.

Thanks

Based on your description I believe you want to create a new parent portal for this DNN installation.  I am not certain of the settings available on GoDaddy's hosting services, but they should offer an option to create a domain alias to the hosted domain in which the DNN installation is running.  As long as the domain name is already registered and you have added it as a portal to your DNN installation, all you would need to do is set up the domain name that you want to be the "new" site as a domain alias.  Then you should be able to access the new parent portal via the domain alias' name and develop your new DNN site.

You understood correctly. I am trying to make parent portal.

Do you mean i have to create the alias on the domain one one which dnn through godaddy.

Beacuse i tried adding that domain to the root then directed to that folder also but still no luck.

If possible can you guide me through all the steps that are needed to create a parent portal.

Please help me.

Thanks
