I am in the process of moving our entire site over to DNN.  The one issue I'm running into right now is modifying the search module to use our own internal Google appliance.  From what I understand I need to create a search page for the results, but how do I change the search in DNN to use our Google appliance instead of DNN?

I have the same sort of problem.  I am looking for the same area where I can modify the search () Web function to be removed, or have it go to a 3rd party search engine of my choice.

How can I modify that path, or remove it from my template completely?

I've tried about everything I can think of and searched everywher but I'm still unable to resolve this issue.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The way I did this was by adding an Advanced Search link in the skin, which links to the Google Mini for searching.  I still use the standard DNN search for a quick search.

The other option is to add a link in the skin for search and remove the default DNN search skin object.  You could add a Google Search link as well, even going as far as integrating the Google search code into the skin.  If you don't want to do this in the skin, there are several Google search modules floating around.

We actually have our own internal Google appliance that we purchased from Google that handles all of our searching on our current site.  We just want to be able to re-create the same functionality within DNN, since we've already spent a lot of time setting up keywords and search terms on the appliance.
