I was one of those unfortunate individuals caught up in the ASPDNSF / DNN 4.8.4 issue. I had my ASPDNSF running pretty well using their latest version and DNN 4.7. I could not get the PayPal function to work in the version of ASPDNSF, but my Google Checkout and everything else was working fine. I was told to upgrade my ASPDNSF and DNN to the latest versions and when I did, PayPal actually started working, but GCO stopped completely and there were so many weird things going on that I have been in a continuous ticket posting mode for over 2 weeks. They have been working with me and got most things ironed out.
The thing is I am not using he DNN Friendly URL provider but a custom URL rewriter. Here was one of the posts from SF support.
Have you notice any significant changes over the past two days? I altered the Auto Disconnect on the db connection and some of the performance configurations on the IIS applicaiton pool. I will roll them back if there is no significant difference.
After this post, my site started functioning almost normal now. Still cannot get GCo to work, but hopefully in the future. I don't know exactly what they did, but I am so far behind from these weeks of having an unstable platform that I didn't really care. I just started working on other items on my site.
One of the biggest issues I was having was that if I put in a single item in my cart but then closed out that cart or deleted that item and opened a new browser, the price fo the product would still be in my Mini Cart but the product would not be in there. It is hard to explain how weird it was, but it went away after my support guy Rex did some tweaks.
I really like this platform, but hope that we all don't ultimately end up in a constant state where one platform or the other is out of sync and causing problems.
I think if I can get my store launched, and working well, I will probably stick with that setup for quite a while.
I am in the StomperNet training group out of Atlanta. Anyone here going to be at their Live Event next weekend in ATL? If so let me know.
