Hello... i have installed DNN Core Forum 4.4.3 on my web site... also i have superadmin rights account... how can i lock every uploaded image of other users to default size 640x480 pixels?... e.g.: if some user upload image in 1600x1200 pixels size, i want to that this image display on forum in default size of 640x480 pixels... it's possible or not?... thanks in advance... best regards...

There's no doubt at all that this vital control should be in the core, but it has failed to gain any traction in the three years I've been ranting about it. You have to instead choose modules that have their own resizing or limiting functionality.

The options are:

  • Build your own module or addon.
  • Buy a third party forum - Active Forums
  • Install a third party editor that has resizing
  • Use another application framework altogether
  • Wait a while- Indications are that the core FCK editor will gain this funcitonality once core upgrades have been made to allow it.

I recommend the second option. Active Forums is the only working forum for DNN and thankfully it's a good one.
