I have an intranet site which the business are looking to get more control of in terms of content, security and so on and I have been looking at DNN. The problem is the current site is a mix of classic asp, and .net applications with BLL/DAL etc.

Only some parts of the site will need to have their content maintained by the business and others will be looked after by the developers.

But I am not sure how I migrate the classic asp and .net applications into DNN? I am fairly new to DNN but have seen some mention about modules. Does this mean I have to convert the apps to modules, including the BLL/DLL?

What I want is that a link off the menu will link to the classic asp or .net application pages within the DNN site and not open in a new window or whatever and any navigation within the classip asp or .net application will stay within the DNN site. Do I need a major rewrite for this?

Any help/suggestions/links to tutorials etc would be great.

Thanks in advance

It really depends on how you want the integration to run.  You could embed the existing application inside of DotNetNuke if you wanted to use the IFrame module to complete the task.  otherwise you will at minimum need to modify the UI code to get it into the DotNetNuke module structure to have it work as an integral element inside the DotNetNuke system.

Yep - IFrame would do it. I think you have to download that an an extra module.

However, some people don't like IFrames becuase search engines don't like them.
