Hi.  I'm consulting for a DNN user and want to add code for web analytics to their web pages (actually, I want to add code from two vendors).  I'm failing at finding where to copy in the code.  Can you give me some instructions or point to a link in the manual that will give me the how-to?  Also, I'd like add the code to all pages.

Thanks!

KathyH

There are modules specific for Google Analytics. There are also some modules for adding javascript to pages. You can also add it to the skin file.

I think there is 1 or 2 other options. I add mine to the skin I use.

I think you're thinking of Google Adwords.  I haven't found a module for Google Analytics yet.  I haven't found a module for adding scripts yet either.  Just SQL queries.  Maybe I'm not just not lookingin the right place.

the three easiest ways are:

  1. edit your skin file and include the necessary javascript there
  2. add a text/html module and set it to every page, and add it there (see http://www.mitchelsellers.com/blogs/articletype/articleview/articleid/53/adding-google-analytics-to-dotnetnuke.aspx)
  3. use a module such as http://www.ifinity.com.au/Products/Google_Analytics_Script_Module
