I am trying to get a menu link to open a file in a new window and not the current window, but can't seem to find an option for this? I know I can open a new url by adding a bit of javascript code to the url i.e. void(window.open('someurl'))

I could do this with a file on the webserver, but I want to get the users into the habit of uploading the file to the DNN site which I will store in the database and acccess it from there as oppossed to ftp'ing it to the server or someother way and linking to it via a http url.

Any ideas for opening a file withiin another window from the menu? Adding a links module is not an option

It's a page menu. So create a new page which adds a link to the menu at the top of the pae and then change the link setting to a file. However I want the link to open in a new window and not within the same window, but I can't see an option to do this for a file??

Like I said if it is a URL I can add some javascript code and I could do the same for the file if I create a share on the server where users can copy the files to, but I would prefer they upload the file and have DNN store the file in the DB. So when I create the link, I specify a file within the DNN site, but I can't get the menu link to open in a new window??
