Hi,

we try to install dnn version 4.8, but the scripts for building the database structure fails without any message. As we look into the database, we found one created table 'Version', the owner of this table is 'dbo'.

As far as we remember from the last installations, the user has to be a member of the dbo-role.

We ask our provider, to change the db-settings accordingly, but they wrote back, that this settings ends up at a lower security level.

My questions now, is this true, is it neccessary to have the dbo.role, or is there some other problem ahead.

Unfortunately, we dont get any message, but we know, the connection works and I am able to create a table manually, but the owner of this table was set to my user  account not to dbo. Thats the only difference I could find so far.

Thanks for helping

Gerhard

you need a dbo role for installation, for best security please check out the documentation.
