Hello,  first sorry about my english, .

i need to start work with existing dnn site that i got yesterday from a customer, i never work with dnn before and i just starting, i have some knowladge with .net

and program some application with .net.

now the thing is that the disk  that i got is a dnn site which probebly installed before, and brought to me, i open the disk content to my computer,  and i sow that in the root there is mdf and mdf_log files and in inner directory all the dnn site (it look like it) including the defult.aspx file..

what i try to do from my instincts is to open the default.aspx file with visual studio and run it in my computer: andbelow is the error that i get

can someone please tell me what is the next step ?  thanks for the peciant

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server.  When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

you need to load sql database in MS SQL Server and adjust both connection strings in web.config to access database correctly.

Besides you need to create IIS web site, pointing to the root of extracted DNN files with Network Service account having granted full permission for it.
