Is the intention to replace the FTB provider, or provide an alternative?

Is it possible to add a field to the Host Settings to allow the HTML provider to be switched between the providers that are installed in web.config (i.e. make it easier to change than editing web.config)? This would be very useful for the not-so-technical user if DNN shipped with more than one HTML provider installed.

There is no intention of replacing FTB. FCkEditor will be provided as an extra editor provider, so people will have alternatives.

Another task will be to cooperate into making the editor provider base class better than the actual one.

I am all for this. I have been a fan of Locopons provider for a while now. Glad to see his project getting some well deserved attention. Keep up the great work.

I totally agree with shanep. I use the FCkEditor since quite a while and it's a great editor.

Would be a good idea to use this editor for this forum - so that people might experience it right away

Regards,
Fabian
