Hi,

When I originally installed my DNN-site i entered localhost/name when accessing the site. This means that it set up this as the default alias for the site (Hostmenu->Edit portalname).

I'd like to change this, not just add another because it doesn't work even though I addet the new alias to the http head in the IIS. But how can I edit this? There is no edit icon to the left of this alias. I need to enter the name of my computer instead since it always redirects to local host otherwise when previewing the site on other computers...

HTTP Alias setup in DNN portals.

you can only edit aliases that are not used to view the site. So first you need to add a proper alias, access your site using that alias, and remove the one you no longer want. If your newly added http alias does not work, this is most probably not a dnn error, but an error in settings of either IIS or your firewall or your DNS
