The SQL connection is in web.config.  You need to change it to match your new server.

I've done a line by line comparision of third system's web.config(our develop system which is working fine) to the failing system's web.config(our to be test system which I copied from production). There was only one phrase that was different on the test web.config from the develop system and the production system.  The line from the test system reads"<add key="SCDCA.RegisteredCreditors.BLL.SCDCA.RC.WebServices.Methods"value="http://localhost/SCDCA.RegisteredCreditors.WebServices/Services.asmx"/>"

the segment that was changed was "10.0.1.247/scdca.intranet" to localhost.

After making the change and restarting IE. I still get

A critical error has occurred.
The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

Thanks for your assistance!

Look in the IIS logs and see what file is requested that generated the 404 error.  Check that it exists and that it has the correct permissions.

I found IIS6.log in the windows folder.  Looking the last entry was [8/21/2008 12:8:24] OC_CLEANUP:Final Check:LogFile Close.

I recreated the problem then check the log no new entries to the iis6.log.

I discovered the Log Viewer in DNN. I'm sure the clue is here as to what is causing the problem. However I'm not sure what and where to look.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
