Hello!

I like the specs in the new news feed module 4.0 BUT i cant get it to work (DNN 4.7).

I get the following error:

Feed 'http://www.golf.se/xml/rss/index_10_latest.rss' could not be loaded. Error: The 'pubDate' element is invalid - The value 'Wed, 20 Aug 2008 11:31:00 CEST' is invalid according to its datatype 'tRfc822formatDate' - The Pattern constraint failed.

More information:

RSS from an announcement module (on same site) works but RSS from Forum does not.

xsl that worked before 4.0 does not work anymore (same error).

The newest news module seems to be completely broken. I can't feed from my own DNN Forum or from 2 different off-site news feeds. The only feed that does seem to work is the DNN Blog feed (I've only tested from the same site).

Please...someone...anyone find a fix soon. I'm beggin'.

Haven't had a chance to go through it, but if you haven't read the blog about the new enhancements to the news module do so here:

As a quick test, try using the XML/XSL module for any of your feeds that aren't working.  You may even need to develop/use a custom xsl for use with your news source.  As I understand it, the new RSS module is pretty strict in its' definitions due to the need to try to aggregate many feeds and feed types into one, so I think that's why folks are seeing this issue.
