What's the status of the store module... any active development? There haven't been updates since last October.

Are there developers' contributions being submitted and incorporated in the module? If this process is unreliable and slow, are there other forks of the module?

Yes, we are actively working toward a new release; however as an open source project the developer and tester time is donated so we have to work within these constraints.  I will see if I can get an update and ETA together for you.

Hi Abdu,

From your perspective I fully understand this frustration. You'd be surprised to know that the people here all got involved at least in part due to that feeling (Gilles was actually managing a fork of the original store module). And once you're on the other side, you begin to understand why the process is so slow. In short: if there are thousands (if not more) people that will use your module, they use it in hundreds of different ways in hundreds of unique settings. If you make a single slipup, you're going to have a lot (and I mean a lot) of angry people coming after you. As you can imagine you'd become more careful releasing, especially if it contains code from other people.

Yes, and MANY THANKS!  I didn't the original question as demand or anything....just a request for an updated roadmap.

If there is active development, it must have a plan...  Any chance we could be let in on the high-level objectives?  Specifics might spur some to volunteer in areas they have talents or interest in...
