I just learned about the possibility to add a custom profile property and use a list defined in the host > Lists page to be able to let users choose a value from one of those lists.

In these lists you can add your own items.
Now I want to provide a list myself with possible options/items for users to choose from but I want to get them out of one of my database tables.
I already have the needed files setup I use in another module to get all the needed values.

So how can I create a custom list and use it for my custom userprofile?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
