Hi all,

I hope someone can help me on this one, sometimes when I load the site http://www.247meeting.com I get redirected to the install (http://www.247meeting.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade), but get a 404 error. I am using version 4.8.3.

Does anyone know the solution to this one?

Thanks,

I can browse the site w/o issues, but make sure not to delete /install folder and to grant sufficient permission to Network Service account in File System.

This is an intermittent error and it's very annoying if visitors are going to get this error too. all the permossions to the site are set and the /install folder exists as do all the files in it, see below.

Are there any errors in the Event Log?

Sometimes (I seem to recall) you will get something like this if your DotNetNuke installation has trouble connecting to the database.  You might want to look in that direction.  It won't be logged since the log entry would have to go into the database.

I have been looking at the problem and found a couple of points:

  1. The site has wildcard mapping set in IIS and uses "Ifinity URL Master" to remove the .aspx extention.
  2. The site works fine if called as http://www.247meeting.com/ but not if called as http://www.247meeting.com.
  3. The second URL redirects to http://www.247meeting.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade, but only if clicked as a link (for me anyway).

I have asked the host to check the Event Logs and the DB connectivity for me, thanks for the tip Joe.

Thanks,
