I'm new to this thread, but have experienced many of the issues. The Notifications issue is the most apparent to my users since it's one they count on working and is noticably broken. Their question is, "Other forums send out notifications, why doesn't DNN?" How do I answer? I can't explain that the programmers haven't been able to solve the problem, can I?  

I like perfection... but perfection is very expensive in time, money and lost opportunity. After reading these comments it feels like feature creep may be a culprit along with perfectionism. Why add new enhancements when a basic function like notifications isn't working? 

I have to believe there are priorities to fixing the bugs... please set a drop dead line that they will be fixed. Add new features when you like, we can wait on those. But bugs can't wait. I don't mind having to run a few upgrades.

Simple, you go for a third party solution.

If that is the official response then this project should be shut down and the forum closed.

Otherwise the current team should be removed and a new team brought in.
