Hi,

Not sure if this question should be in this topic.

Basically out of the blue I'm getting the following error when I access either of the skin admin pages (admin or host). Any clues to my problem? Thanks very much in advance.

Error: Skins is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinDefaults..ctor(SkinDefaultType DefaultType) at DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.get_DefaultSkin() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Skins.EditSkins.isFallbackSkin(String skinPath) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Skins.EditSkins.ProcessSkins(String strFolderPath) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Skins.EditSkins.ShowSkins() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Skins.EditSkins.LoadSkins() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Skins.EditSkins.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

It's difficult to answer.

Do you have this with all skins?

There are two ways to change the skin if you cannot access the admin pages:

1. Using FTP rename the current skins folder, DNN wilol revert back to the default Blue skin

2. Use this: http://www.mysite.com/default.aspx?skinsrc=0

Which loads the current page with the default skin

Basically only happens when i access the skin admin pages. On the web frontend, it loads fine. Anything i can do to narrow down the problem? Was working fine before and I'm pretty sure the skins were not changed. I even tried copying a copy of good skins over to the install and it is not working as well..

Also tried copying the skin from the install with problems over to another portal instance and it works as well.

Stupid question: did you remove the DNN_blue skin?

What version of DNN?
