Hi,

I've just opened up the solution file in VS2008 but it refuses load the solution as some of the project ffiles etc are in VB. I only use C# and was wondering if there is  a C# only version available?

Many thanks,

James

 Please see this thread:  http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/18782/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Basically, there is only a VB.NET version.

That's a real shame, but I understand your reasons.

Many thanks,

James

NB you can still develop your own DNN modules in C# if you want to.

Translation tools are getting better by the day. If I need to understand a bit of code I run it through SharpDevelop now. It does a 99% job in conversion.

@James: DNN was designed to be extended using your own 'modules'. In general you only need the source code to understand what is happening in the framework. If I were you I'd try a translation of the framework for reference, and program in my trusted C#. You'll be happy to know you're not alone. There are quite a few C# developers here.
