A little help before I go mad!

I have successfully installed DNN in the past on a network server for test purposes. I am now attempting a clean install (on a different server) for use as a company intranet. All settings are the same as the previous installation. When the web application is run for the fisrt time the web server calls the Install Wizard but instead of running as expected I am redirected to the login page (login.aspx). At this point it all comes to a grinding halt because the database components have not been installed! The server is Windows 2000 server edition running IIS5. Any suggestions greatfully received (before I pull all my hair out!)

Thanks in advance, Nigel.

I suggest you specify the database settings in the web.config before starting the install.

I have already declared the database connection.

When the install wizard attempts to run, because it is redirected back to the login page, the login page calls for skin details from the database. The process then errors on the attempted running of a stored procedure that is not there (because it has not been installed yet).

Nigel.

I assume, that there are permission issues either for file system or database. Please validate. It might be necessary to delete and recreate the database to proceed.
