This feed is being rejected due to the author element, as you can see below.

Feed 'http://blog.adhdkvinnor.se/syndication.axd' could not be loaded. Error: The 'author' element is invalid - The value 'info.nospam@nospam.adhdkvinnor.se (Marianne)' is invalid according to its datatype 'tEmailAddress' - The Pattern constraint failed.

The beta version relaxes the validation and this feed works with it.

I cannot duplicate your issue with this feed: http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_world_edition/front_page/rss.xml

I've used it without issue in a DNN v040900 install with the News 040000 version and the beta version and it's working for me.

Thanks for the attempt iwonder. Just curious, was the DNN 4.9.0 install one that was previously 4.8.4 and upgraded, or was 4.9.0 the initial version for that install? Thanks again.

Kerry,

I only tried it with fresh installs.  My other test environments have been played with so much, I couldn't really be sure of anythinig with those.  Also, I'm using it on a single test workstation running XP, not a public access site.

The feed   http://feeds.firehouse.com/fh_rss/news  yields the following error:
