Hi,

i tried to delete a un-wanted portal alias and the following error message appears. please help how to fix it. thank you in advance.

Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.

This error is due to the ASP.NET worker process not having full permissions to the DNN root.

If on Win2000 or XP you need the ASPNET account to have full permissions on Win2003/2008 Server or Vista you need to ensure that the NETWORK SERVICE account has permissions

Is that any any security concern to the permission set in order to solve the issue? It is a live website.

It happened again, Portal cannot be deleted. The error message seems different with last time.
