hello...

I have configured and personalized DotNetNuke portal in my own web server... then by using VS 2005 I published it and copied to the hosting provider. I installed the database too.

I modified web.config so that database connection string is pointing to the hosting database server. I had to manually modified PortalAlias to point to www.xxxxx.com site.

After those changes, the site doesn't load. Whast else do I need to manually configure?

Thanks

Jaime

Hello...

I have followed the link and the site loads now, but strangely it tries to downgrade from version 04.09.00 to 4.8.4. I don't understand why is this since I have 04.09.00 version of DotNetNuke, and in fact, if I load Host Settings (of source code version of DNN) version 04.09.00 is reported.

If I edit web.config and change AutoUpgrade from true to false, UnderConstruction page is loaded.

How can I solve it? in theory, I shouldn't have to do anything but changed DB configuration string in order to make DNN to work. Why is this so complicated? the upgraded DNN works perfectly when it is in source code, but it doesn't if it is published (only binaries).

Any further help will be greatly appreciated.

I have solved this issue.... I downloaded full source version instead of only upgraded files... then I published and the site worked.

Thanks anyway

Jaime
