The new FCKEditor version that comes with DNN 4.9 handles font sizes differently. If you look at the source code it will say font size="xsmall" where as before it would say font size="2". This displays fine in IE but displays very small in Firefox. Any way of adjusting this or going back to previous FCKeditor until this is resolved?

The font tag was deprecated long time ago, so fckeditor is now trying to be xhtml compliant and is replacing deprecated tags with the corresponding css styles.

You must be sure no other styles are being applied to your text.

I will try something here:

the xx-small

the x-small

the medium

the large

Take a look at the following comments to see that minimal differences will always be there when using different browsers

http://forums.techguy.org/web-design-development/690298-font-size-different-ie-firefox.html

So this is not a problem with FCKeditor

You can try by entering some sample sites and you will see some parts looking different when using different browsers. Some times it looks a little bigger in IE and sometimes it looks bigger in FF. This also depends on the font-face attribute (different fonts).

I guess what i'm saying is that I had pages created previous to installing DNN 4.9 and the code reads font size="2" now if I create new text the code reads font size="x-small". Previously using an actual number such as 2 the fonts displayed exactly the same either in Firefox or IE. Now using sizes such as x-small things appear smaller in Firefox.
