Hi

I need to pass User.UserID as a parameter on commandbutton click event, the commandbutton is clicked when admin is trying to add/modify an user role (securityroles.ascx). I am tyring to use :

1.) OnClick

="window.open('http://myserver.com/destinationFile.aspx?UserID='+ '<%=User.UserID %>','mywindow','menubar=1,resizable=1,width=450,height=650');"

Or

2.) OnClick="window.open('http://myserver.com/destinationFile.aspx?UserID='+ <%=User.UserID %>,'mywindow','menubar=1,resizable=1,width=450,height=650');"

the first try passes <%=User.UserID%> as parameter instead on value, second try results in javascript error

Thanks

i would do that from code behind, like this:

me.myCmdButton.Attributes.Add("onclick",String.format("window.open('http://myserver.com/destinationFile.aspx?UserID={0}','mywindow','menubar=1,resizable=1,width=450,height=650');",UserInfo.UserId))

(this is untested code.. might contain typos ;) )
