I am using the Effority User Directory module, which is perfect for displaying a contact list. But I would like to be able to enable the search function so people can quickly find contacts, while at the same time displaying the list of contacts as normal. Enabling the search makes the list dissapear, and disabling the search shows the list as desired.

Is there a way to do both at the same time, before the user ever enters anything in the search field?

As an aside question, how can I make the default list display appear in a specific order? It seems to be based on the order that users joined the site, but I would prefer it to be alphabetical by first name. Is there a way to specify this?

Didn't want to start a whole new thread, but can someone help me out with how to change the order and column heading names on the results? I say on the site there is some way to use a template, but I don't understand how or where to do this.
