Hi

I'm using v4.04.01.00 of the documents module, and i'm trying to set the default location for the uploaded files. I've assumed that changing the Default Folder dropdown list under the Documents Module Settings section should do the trick, but when I go to upload a new file the File Location dropdown list is still defaulting to the Root. I've taken a look in the DB and the DefaultFolder is filled in as expected.

Has anyone else experienced this problem as well or is it just me? Does anyone know a fix/work around?

Are you logged in as an Administrator or are you testing this with an account in a different role?  Does the folder allow the specified role to Read/Write to it?

 hi

i'm logged on using the host account, to test all this. I'm getting some really weird behaviour now though. I've been trying to receate the problem but can only do this when I seem to be entering a certain word.

I'm working on a page called Corporate Affairs. This page contains two modules one is an HTML module the second is the documents module. The documents module also has a categories list called "Corporate Affairs Docs Types".

I have been creating the folders using Admin - File Manager.

Under the Portal Root node I have created a folder called Documents and then within this folder is where I want to create my Corporate Affairs folder. I think this is where the problem is. If I create a folder with the word "corporate" in it then when I go back to my documents module and set the default folder to "Documents/corporate" then when I go to add a new document the folder drop down is set to Root, but if I go into the settngs page again then it is still set to "Documents/corporate". If I repeat the process but this time create a folder called "CorpDocs" then everything seems to work fine.

I not sure if I've got to many things called "Corporate" and maybe it's getting a bit confused I don't really know.
